The Alabama Natural Heritage Program (ALNHP) is pleased to announce the release of our 2011 Tracking List for Rare, Threatened, and Endangered Plants and Animals of Alabama. The updates to our tracking list reflect recent taxonomic changes and the most recent data regarding species distribution and current protection status within the ALNHP Biotics Database. Updates this year also include state status changes for species affected by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resource’s revisions to the Nongame Species Regulation in the Alabama Regulations on Game, Fish, and Fur Bearing Animals.
