Cawaco Grant Process
Do you wonder how Cawaco RC&D Grants are rated, voted on, and other various steps in the approval process? Well, here are the basics!
The Grant Process:
Step 1:
- After all proposals are received, the Grant Committee (a panel of one council member from each Cawaco county) will review them.
- After the Grant Committee reviews the grant proposals, they submit their grant scores.
- The Grant Committee meets to discuss, and make recommendations.
Step 2:
- The Grant Committee will RECOMMEND to the full Cawaco Board the proposals they find suitable for funding at the Quarterly Council Meeting.
- The full Cawaco Council will either approve or deny funding.
Step 3:
- After the Cawaco Board approves/denies the proposals for Cawaco Challenge grants, approval and denial letters are mailed to all applicants.
- The Grant Administrator coordinates a mandatory workshop to educate the Cawaco Challenge grant awardees about the reporting process.
- During this meeting, the awardee will sign a contract. The date on the contract is the official start date for the project. No funds will be reimbursed for work done prior to signing the contract.
- ALL CAWACO GRANTS ARE GIVEN ON A REIMBURSIBLE BASIS AND REQUIRE 1:1 MATCH
