Cawaco RC&D provides administrative support to the Heifer International Grassroots Support Organization’s Capacity Building Project. Begun in July of 2008, the project provides support to organizations, who in turn, provide support to other local grassroots organizations serving genuine-need communities in producing sustainable local food sources. The object is to pass on experience and knowledge through hands-on community food projects such as community gardens, farmers markets and value added products.
