Jones Valley Urban Farm and Cawaco RC&D Council are currently inventorying all of the community, neighborhood, business, and school gardens in the greater Birmingham area. They will create an interactive map accessible via the internet for the general public to have greater ease of access to garden and food resources.
Steph and Emmie are interviewing folks at each garden to get contact information for the data base – name of garden, address, garden manager, garden history, public or private, and GPS location. Attached you will find an Excel document listing the gardens in the inventory. If you know of any more gardens that you do not see listed, please email any information about them to semunkachy@gmail.com.
